一 |     संवाद सूत्र, पीरपैंती। Bihar News भागलपुर के पीरपैंती पावर प्लांट का शिलान्यास भले ही अभी कुछ समय दूर है, लेकिन अडाणी पावर को कार्य आवंटित किया जा चुका है। इस परियोजना के तहत 2400 मेगावाट का बिजली घर स्थापित किया जाएगा, जिसमें 800 मेगावाट के तीन यूनिट शामिल हैं।,अडाणी पावर ने निर्माण कार्य की नींव रखने की प्रक्रिया प्रारंभ कर दी है। 15 सितंबर को पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी के बिहार के पूर्णिया दौरे के दौरान पावर प्लांट का वर्चुअल शिलान्यास होने की संभावना है। यह परियोजना बिहार की सबसे बड़ी बिजली घर परियोजना बनेगी।,इस संदर्भ में अदानी पावर ने प्रारंभिक कार्य भी शुरू कर दिया है। ब्लॉक रोड के पास मुख्य गेट के बगल में बोरिंग का कार्य प्रारंभ हो चुका है, और कई कर्मी लगातार सर्वे कर रहे हैं। सड़क के चौड़ीकरण के लिए भी सर्वे कार्य चल रहा है। दुर्गापुर की सर्वे टीम एनएच 80 से पावर प्लांट के मुख्य गेट तक सड़क की स्थिति का आकलन कर रही है, ताकि सड़क की चौड़ाई बढ़ाई जा सके।,जानकारी के अनुसार, जिस स्थान पर पावर प्लांट यूनिट स्थापित होगा, वहां कई पेड़ हैं, जिनकी कटाई शिलान्यास के बाद वन विभाग को सौंपी जाएगी। उल्लेखनीय है कि पीरपैंती पावर प्लांट के लिए छह मौजा में 1300 एकड़ जमीन का अधिग्रहण किया गया है, जिसमें सुंदरपुर, रायपुरा, श्रीमतपुर, हरिनकोल फेज एक, हिरणकोल फेज दो और टुंडवा मौजा शामिल हैं। इसमें 915 किसानों की 1020 एकड़ जमीन रैयती अधिग्रहण की गई है, जबकि शेष जमीन बिहार और भारत सरकार की है।,पावर प्लांट के लिए अधिग्रहित जमीन का 70 प्रतिशत घेराबंदी कार्य अभी बाकी है। अधिग्रहण के बाद घेराबंदी का 30 प्रतिशत कार्य पूरा हुआ है, जबकि 2016 से यह कार्य बंद था। अब अधूरे घेराबंदी कार्य के लिए टेंडर हो चुका है, और जिस कंपनी को यह कार्य मिला है, उसने स्थल पर सफाई कार्य भी शुरू कर दिया है।,किसानों के मुआवजा भुगतान में विसंगतियों को लेकर किसान उत्थान चेतना समिति का विरोध जारी है। किसानों ने मुआवजा भुगतान की विसंगतियों को समाप्त करने की मांग की है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि पावर प्लांट से रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे, लेकिन प्राथमिकता स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार देने की होनी चाहिए। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी के 15 सितंबर को पूर्णिया दौरे के दौरान वर्चुअल शिलान्यास की संभावना जताई जा रही है।。    KINGSLAND, Ga. -- A man who spent more than 16 years in prison in Florida on a wrongful conviction was shot and killed Monday by a sheriff's deputy in Georgia during a traffic stop, authorities and representatives said.Leonard Allen Cure, 53, was identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is reviewing the shooting.His death was confirmed by Seth Miller, executive director of the Innocence Project of Florida, which represented Cure in his exoneration case.Miller said he was devastated by the news, which he heard from Cure's family.“I can only imagine what it’s like to know your son is innocent and watch him be sentenced to life in prison, to be exonerated and ... then be told that once he’s been freed, he’s been shot dead," Miller said. He cooperated at first but became violent after he was told he was being arrested, a GBI news release said.The agency said preliminary information shows the deputy shocked the driver with a stun gun when he failed to obey commands, and the driver then began assaulting the deputy. The GBI said the deputy again tried using the stun gun and a baton to subdue him, then drew his gun and shot the driver when he continued to resist.The agency didn't say what prompted the deputy to pull over Cure's vehicle.Miller couldn't comment specifically on Cure's death but said he has represented dozens of people convicted of crimes who were later exonerated.“Even when they’re free, they always struggled with the concern, the fear that they’ll be convicted and incarcerated again for something they didn’t do,” he said.It is customary for Georgia law enforcement agencies to ask the GBI to investigate shootings involving officers. The agency said it will submit its findings to the district attorney for the coastal Brunswick Judicial Circuit, which includes Camden County.Cure was convicted of the 2003 armed robbery of a drug store in Florida's Dania Beach and sentenced to life in prison because he had previous convictions for robbery and other crimes.But the case had issues from the start and his conviction came from a second jury after the first one deadlocked. In 2020, the Broward State Attorney’s Office new Conviction Review Unit asked a judge to release Cure from prison. Broward’s conviction review team said it found “troubling” revelations that Cure had solid alibis that were previously disregarded and no physical evidence or solid witnesses to put him at the scene. An independent review panel of five local lawyers concurred with the findings.Cure was released that April after his sentenced was modified. That December, a judge vacated his conviction and sentence.“I’m looking forward to putting this situation behind me and moving on with my life,” Cure told the South Florida Sun Sentinel at the time. In June, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a claims bill granting Cure $817,000 in compensation for his conviction and imprisonment along with educational benefits.Miller said Cure, who lived in a suburb of Atlanta, received the money in August.“The Leonard we knew was a smart, funny and kind person,” Broward State Attorney Harold F. Pryor said in a statement to the Sun Sentinel Monday evening. “After he was freed and exonerated by our office, he visited prosecutors at our office and participated in training to help our staff do their jobs in the fairest and most thorough way possible.
